A Muddy Ride...

Mark enjoyed the Muddy ride....

Bret enjoyed the ride too.. but he'll
remember not to get behind Mark
in the Muddy waters....

Mark and Bret with their "MACHINES"!!!

What a fun evening...work is done and
now it's time to PLAY. What better way
to play than on a four wheeler in the
water and MUD say Mark and Bret. They
didn't even get stuck, 'aw shucks', I
think they wanted to get stuck so they
could use Mark's new winch...but it
didn't happen.

I asked Mark if Andrea will let him
put his muddy clothes in her washer...
Mark said he'd have to spray them off
first and then it would be okay.

Mark pressure washed his 'machine' real
well - but there will be a 'ring around
the bathtub tonight'.........

Jr. and Jennifer Tie the Knot

Dwane Jr and Jennifer "Tied the Knot" in
Orrville at 6:30 pm. The church was full
and the music was beautiful - A Reception
followed immediately on the church grounds.

Congratulations and Best Wishes Jr. and Jen!!!

Love of " Four Wheelin' "

Mark purchased his dream Four wheeler
on June 10th.... and I took a ride with Linda
Jenkins up the road and back. Not bad..

Later Nathan sat on the Four wheeler with
Mark and I snapped a few pictures...

Since June 10th it's gotten a little dirtier
than we see here.. he had to power wash it
to get all the mud off several times.

RAIN, RAIN, GO AWAY!!!

45 Minutes to FIND my WAY out of Wooster
is not normal...

Stopped at Buehlers Downtown after work
to pick up a few groceries before heading
home. I knew the sky was very dark to the
west - but I didn't realize the storm would
arrive as quickly as it did and be as
destructive as it was.

I got a clue as the lights went out twice
while I was in the dairy section of the store
and wondered how I would find my way
to the front of the store in the DARK!!!
When the lights came back on - I think
they were their emergency lights - I
headed to the front of the store - just
to wait in line to get checked out where
some of the computers were still working
and a line was forming by the door because
no one wanted to get soaked.

I opted for a store umbrella to get to the
car which didn't keep me from getting wet...
and then driving the MAZE with everyone
else to find a street without downed trees
or electric lines hanging across the streets.

WHEW was I glad to get out of there...
and then I see that Dale had taken the
convertible to work and wondered what
kind of stories he would have.. Guess what!!
Dale had no trouble getting home.

Oh Well - my trip was more exciting - just
more time consuming... :^)

Here are pictures of our Plattner
grandchildren as they put their umbrellas
to good use last spring...

LauraLee - Celebrating her 34th Birthday!!!

Congratulations and Best Wishes
LauraLee on your birthday celebration!!!
It's amazing how fast the time has flown.
You'll know this when you look back and
Jesse is 16...you think it's a long time
coming, but don't blink, it's sooner than
you think.

This picture of you was taken at
Aunt Norma Jean Riley's in Salem, IL
while we were vacationing, I think we had
just returned from church.

Here you are on another 'Father's Day'
celebrating once again.

We LOVE you,
Mom and Dad

Traveled with Cori and her friend,
Amy, to Manteo, NC for the weekend.
Stayed at the Tranquil House Inn
right on the bay. Shopped, rode
bikes around town, walked through
the 'festival' that was in progress
and attended the play 'The Lost
Colony' under the stars. The play
was about our nation's history back
in 1587 and the settlers that lived on
Roanoke Island and then vanished.
The star of the play was Lynn
Redgrave playing the Queen of
England. On Sunday we watched
the novice hang gliders trying to
fly at Kill Devil Hills, NC where
the Wright brothers initiated
aviation.

Cori: "The Tour Guide"

Thanks, Cori, for a great weekend!!!
The laughs, the 'late nite pizza??',
the play, the seaside romp, all made
for a relaxing weekend. Love, Mom

Playtime in Manteo...

We couldn't resist playing in 'the chair'!!!
Remember the BIG chair in Front Royal,
Virginia, LauraLee???

Amy and Cori each had a phone call right after
breakfast, imagine that...
