An Adventure to be Rememebered...

Arrived in hot, windswept Phoenix on Saturday afternoon and we were off to a running start on our adventure. Have visited "The Long's", Bev's Mom and Dad (and Aunt Margaret) in Phoenix...traveled into the desert to Bev's home and enjoyed their hospitality...
Attended church, visited with Cori's college friend (Kim) Sunday evening, and departed Monday morning for Sedona... Please see Cori's blogspot for the tales of our ADVENTURES...

BUSY Weekend...

This weekend I watched 'The Boys' while Mark
and Andrea went 4-wheelin'. This picture of Ben
wasn't taken this weekend...but it appears
that he's asking Grandma...
"You have that camera out AGAIN???"

Nathan was a GOOD boy for MeMa while staying at our house over night. Here Nathan fell asleep and took a nap in the living room....
The Happy TRAVELERS tell of their adventures during the Rumble on the Ridge weekend. Sounds like they had a good time...

Illinois Visit...August 2006

Mom and I visisted 'Blackhawk' at Lowden Park
over the weekend. While we were there - a
lady had some visitors in the park from
Chicago who had never seen the statue before.
In our family the statue is part of our heritage
as we had many reunions there with all the
'cousins' and we haunted the hiking trails
below the statue. It was always fun to run
down the trails all the way to Rock River.

Mom and I enjoyed this day together... A little work and a little play is good for the soul.
I spotted this hollow tree as we exited the park and had to take advantage of this photo opportunity. I was going to have Mom stand inside...but there were green spiders in there.... UGH.... I think Mom probably thought I was 'crazy' to ask her to stand in the tree... (Hey - I heard you say that - now be nice!!)
